China Pigs

Today, I went to this ceramics shop, which was really cool coz the potter was there herself. And there were some rag rugs, and I bought one.
Then I saw this group of four piggies the potter had made, only a little more than an inch big, each a little different from each other. In conversation. Incredibly sweet. I bought the little gang.
Now, thinking back to the piggies, I smile. And I’m thinking how often animals do make us smile. So we have pictures of animals, and little replicas of them. But do we maybe treat the replicas better than the originals? Better than the animals themselves?
